Overview

Bromsgrove School Caters for 1500 children from the ages of 2 to 18 and has over 470 full time boarders from age 7. Situated in the heart of England with easy access to the central motorway network, Bromsgrove is one of the country's leading co-educational boarding and day schools. This ancient school is caring and welcoming, but academic standards and expectations are high. Teaching is demanding and pupils are expected to work hard. Results reflect this with 86% of pupils gaining A*, A or B grades at A level in 2011. The clear majority (98%) of pupils continue to top UK and world universities. Sports facilities include two floodlit all-weather pitches, indoor swimming pool and two sports halls, dance studios a cafe and a hospitaltiy area, flood-lit 6 lane all-weather athletics track and numerous well-sited grass pitches.

Unique Points

The Good Schools Guide’s says Bromsgrove enjoys “Outstanding leadership” and continued: “Bromsgrove inhabits the academic stratosphere….all Departments are strong”. Regarding sport, the Guide observed: “Bromsgrove games are outstanding”. The introduction of the International Baccalaureate Diploma, which is run parallel to the traditional A level courses at the school, has enhanced the options available to the school's Sixth Form.
