Overview

The school is located in the market town of Newbury in the heart of England. The central location of the school allows students to take full advantage of the local amenities. Newbury Hall is served by excellent road and rail links to neighbouring towns and cities including Oxford and Reading. Both central London and London Heathrow Airport can be easily reached within an hour.

A wide range of subjects are available at GCSE and A-Level and students can enrol throughout the year on intensive pre-GCSE and A-Level programmes. The courses are designed to be challenging and all pupils complete 30 hours of tuition per week. Students receive weekly academic and welfare counselling alongside career advice and guidance with university application. Every student receives a tailored educational programme to maximise their full potential and intensive tuition is delivered in extremely small classes providing our students with a truly bespoke education.

Boarding accommodation is of the highest standard with comfortable private en-suite study bedrooms located in the modern on-site residence. Each room has high speed broadband. The residence offers pupils a pleasant environment to work and relax. Pupils take part in a variety of sports, cultural activities and excursions.

Unique Points

Newbury Hall is an international boarding school for boys and girls aged 13–18. The school provides tailored programmes to ensure the academic progress and social development of each student. Pupils are placed at the heart of the learning process and receive the highest levels of individual attention and support through our philosophy of coaching rather than teaching. The combination of small classes (maximum 8) and intensive academic tuition enable the students to achieve excellent examination results and compete with British students for places at well-respected universities.
