Overview

With its high academic standards and a warm family atmosphere, Moreton develops the all-round potential of every student: girls aged 4-18 and boys aged 4-11.

Accommodation is outstanding including two new Sixth Form boarding houses with single and twin study bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Students have ample opportunity to mix with the world outside school in a vibrant programme of lectures, expeditions, social activities and leisure trips.

Our Community Service scheme encourages all students to help in the local community. Most students participate in the Duke of Edinburgh awards scheme.

Sixth Formers can meet the world of real business in the award-winning scheme, Moreton Enterprises, as directors and staff of the different, successful business ventures.

Unique Points

Unique to Moreton Hall's Boarding School and ISC is its beautiful rural location in 100 acres of parkland, offering students a safe and free environment in which to study and relax.

The newly built ISC prepares boys and girls for entry to UK boarding schools.

Moreton Enterprises is a unique set of on-site retail businesses run exclusively by the girls. Last year they turned over £50,000.

Moreton ranks 1st in UK on Value Added scores (Durham University, MidYIS, 2010 &2011), achieves consistently high GCSE and A Level results, with approx. 10% of its students going to Oxford and Cambridge Universities

Entry Requirements

There is no set entrance exam for overseas students. They are assessed by school report and upon arrival, then placed in a year group which takes into account their age and ability. Students in Years 8, 9 and 10 work towards PET or First Certificate but this is not required for entry into the school. Students in Years 12 and 13 work towards the IELTS exam.
