The University of Gibraltar adheres to the latest HM Government of Gibraltar guidelines on Covid-19. The University have implemented and maintain a strict on-campus physical distancing policy, have installed hand sanitiser dispensers throughout our building and spaces undergo thorough cleaning on a regular basis. Small class sizes mean that you avoid larger crowds and reduce the risk of contagion.

Join when you’re ready

The University will be ready to welcome you on campus, but also understand that Covid-19 may affect travel plans and delay some visa applications. If you are unable to get to Gibraltar by the start of your programme, you may enrol virtually initially, meaning you can join a little later.

Personal tuition pledge

Regular one-on-one contact with a lecturer can really boost your studies. That is why if you decide to start your programme virtually, you will receive the same personal support and contact time as face-to-face students.

Accommodation

Choosing where you live at university is almost as important as choosing where to study. It needs to be a space in which you feel comfortable, safe and happy.

Most students choose to live at Europa Suites. Located just a two-minute walk away from the Europa Point Campus, all rooms have been designed as spaces in which to relax and study. Each self-contained studio apartment features a compact kitchen, en-suite bathroom and large desk.

Europa Point enjoys breath-taking views over the Straits of Gibraltar and the African continent. Beaches and a full sports complex are within walking distance and regular buses connect you to the centre of town.

Location

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory that is often described as a piece of Britain in the sun. This means you can expect the same standards and values of a British university education within a warm, Mediterranean location that enjoys up to 300 days of sunshine a year.

At 6.7 square kilometres, Gibraltar may be small, but that is what makes it so unique. Everything is walkable, bikeable or a short bus ride away, meaning you will have more time to explore, travel and have fun when you’re not studying. You will be free to join clubs, societies or simply make the most of Gibraltar’s lively leisure and restaurant scene.

If you’re studying in Gibraltar on a student visa, you can take on some part-time work. Depending on your visa, you should be able to work up to 20 hours per week during term time and 40hrs per week during vacation. On completion of your degree programme, non-EU international students can remain in Gibraltar for a further two years for full-time employment in a local businesses.
