NHS England confirm international students eligible for free vaccination in the UK

29 June 2021

NHS England have confirmed that international students will be eligible to recieve a free COVID-19 vaccination whilst studying in the UK.

Anybody aged 18 or over in the UK is eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination for free, regardless of their nationality or immigration status. The COVID-19 vaccination is free of charge and does not count as the kind of care that requires payment.

International students should be encouraged to register with a GP and get an NHS number. Students who are not registered with a GP will not be proactively contacted by a local NHS service and are encouraged to register with a GP via nhs.uk/register.

UK universities are currently planning and working towards a full return to face-to-face teaching from the start of Autumn Term in September 2021 and it isn't too late to begin your UCAS application.

Begin your UK study journey by arranging a free consultation with SI-UK Kosovo today.
